Exterior Wash

Dry, rinse-less or approved wet wash, finished without streaking, water spotting or residue around seams and fasteners.

Most exterior complaints are not about dirt. They are about what the wash left behind — streaks along the flow lines, spotting on the upper surfaces, and a chalky residue sitting in every seam and around every fastener. Method and rinse discipline matter more than product.

What the scope includes

  • Dry and rinse-less methods where water use or runoff is restricted
  • Approved wet wash where the ramp and airport permit it
  • Static ports, probes, pitot tubes, vents and sensors protected before we start
  • Finished without streaking, spotting or residue in seams and fastener heads
  • Wheel wells, gear legs and lower fuselage included, not skipped
  • Runoff controlled to the airport's environmental requirements

Not included

Paint correction, sealant and ceramic coating are separate scopes. A wash cleans; it does not restore gloss to oxidised paint.

It is surprisingly difficult to find a provider who can wash a large aircraft without leaving streaks, water spots or residue around seams and fasteners. Their process was controlled, thorough and clearly adapted for aviation surfaces.

FAQ

Exterior Wash — questions we get

What is the difference between a dry wash and a wet wash?

A dry or rinse-less wash uses an encapsulating product and controlled towel technique with little or no free water. It is the right choice where runoff is restricted or the aircraft is in a hangar. A wet wash uses flowing water and is faster on heavily contaminated airframes where the ramp permits it.

How do you protect static ports and sensors?

Every static port, probe, pitot tube, vent and sensor is covered before any product touches the airframe, and covers are removed and accounted for on a checklist at handover. Nothing is left on the aircraft.

Can you wash at my hangar instead of the ramp?

Yes, and it is often better. Hangar work removes wind and sun from the equation, which is what causes most spotting and streaking in the first place.
