Paint Correction

Swirl marks, oxidation and haze corrected to restore depth — with an honest assessment of what the paint can safely take before we start.

Aircraft paint is not automotive paint. The film is thinner, the systems vary by manufacturer and repaint history, and there is a finite amount of material available before correction stops being safe. We measure and assess before we commit, and we tell you what is achievable rather than promising a finish the paint cannot support.

What the scope includes

  • Condition assessed and explained before any work is committed
  • Swirl marks, wash marring and light oxidation corrected
  • Dark, metallic and high-contrast schemes handled with extra care
  • Multi-stage process matched to the paint system and its history
  • Corrected to a uniform finish, never overcorrected for a short-term result
  • Protection recommended afterwards so the correction actually holds

Not included

Correction cannot fix chips, scratches through the clear, filiform corrosion or failed paint. Those need a paint shop and we will refer rather than disguise them.

Our Citation had visible swirl marks under hangar lighting that previous detailers were unable to resolve. They evaluated the paint carefully, explained what could safely be improved, and delivered a finish that looked dramatically clearer and deeper.

FAQ

Paint Correction — questions we get

Is paint correction safe on aircraft?

When it is assessed properly, yes. The risk comes from treating aircraft paint like car paint and removing more material than the system can spare. We assess condition and film thickness before committing to a process.

Can you remove oxidation completely?

Usually a substantial improvement, sometimes complete. It depends how deep it has gone and how much material is available. We will tell you what to expect before we start rather than after.

My paint is dark and shows everything. Can you help?

Dark schemes show every swirl and inconsistency, which is exactly why they need a careful multi-stage process rather than an aggressive single pass. It takes longer, and the result is worth it.
