Swirl marks
Fine circular scratches in a clear coat, usually caused by improper wash technique, dirty media or aggressive machine work. They are visible mainly in direct sun as a halo around a light source.

Why it matters
Swirls are the commonest sign of a cheap wash. They are correctable, but correction consumes finish.
